Learning to dress ourselves...

Life is so busy! I am rarely home these days. Dan and I often only see each other in passing to and from work or school! Oy Vey! It is all for the best though, and continuing with school is so important. I really love school. Sometimes I complain because I really have no free time, but I really love going to class.

This weekend, Ty and Dan were going to surprise us ladies with reservations and a fancy dinner out, but, the guys decided to be financially responsible, and go out- but to a less expensive restaurant. We went to Texas Roadhouse- I got fillet minion- mine favorite- Dan got salmon. Jax and Tyler came over before dinner and Kristen met up with us because she was studying to prep for her state boards. Tyler and I were tag teaming on Jax watch, while we studied together as well. Jax is getting to where he is wanting to do everything himself. I bet he will be potty trained by the end of summer if not before. Tyler and Kristen have been really smart to praise him when he goes, but not pushing him. He told me he wanted to go potty yesterday, so I helped him in there, and sure enough- "Cherish, pee potty! Did it!" He was so proud of himself. He washed his hands, and when we went out, I told him we needed to put his pants back on, he told me no. I told him he could go around pant less for a minute, but if he needed to go potty again, he had to tell me so we could hurry to the potty. Sure enough, while he was free as a bird, he ran down the hall, "hurry! Potty! 'gain!" So he went again. I told him we had to put his pants on this time, because we were going to get ready to go for dinner. He let me get his diaper on, then he insisted on putting his own pants on- and this is what we got- They are on- but backwards!

I love being an aunt. I don't get to see all my lovelies as much as I would like, but I treasure the time and fun I have with them each when I have the opportunity. The sweet kiddos in my life grow far too fast, but I definitely love watching them as they learn and grow!
